About

Anybody who knows anything about art knows that a ’still life’ is a work of art which shows non-living, or, rather, non-moving objects (or just subject matter) arranged just so by the artist. When painting reality, such as a person, a landscape, etc., the artist can’t be certain what will change. As the sun moves, the colors all around us change, whether we realize it or not. The artist doesn’t decide what will go where, or how it will turn out.

Our lives are not like a still life, they are ever changing. The future is as uncertain as the present was while we lived in the past. That is what this site is about. It gives me a chance to simply sit back, relax, and place a view or an idea in an arrangement that I find amusing — a still life. It also gives others the chance to move that arrangement around and form a still life that they understand a little more. And though we may never understand the subject at hand, we will have the chance to look at whatever that subject may be, as it is set before us and arranged by the artists hands and by our own.

Life will always continue running. If you stop running with it and take a moment to think, you may miss something. If you don’t stop and look around, view the options, picture it as if it were a still life every once in a while, you will miss something. And perhaps the ultimate Artist will help us with our final decisions.
